Pro Golfer Angela Stanford for LBCA

LBCA is the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance. Professional golfer Angela Stanford's mother, Nan, was diagnosed with this subtype of breast cancer in 2009 at the age of 54. While Nan had yearly mammograms starting at age 40, the exams never detected cancer. Cancer was only discovered because according to Nan, something didn't look right. We interviewed Angela at her home golf course, Shady Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, five months before her mother died from lobular breast cancer. Angela continues to work with LBCA to educate others about this sneaky cancer that desperately needs more research.
